South Lee County Model Update

About: 
Lago provided updates to the South Lee County MIKE SHE/MIKE11 model in order to provide boundary conditions for the ICPR model available for the Village of Estero. The starting point was the DRGR model developed by DHI on year 2009.

Specifics:
The following components were updated in the  MIKE SHE/MIKE11 model:

• Rainfall and RET
• Landuse and irrigation
• MIKE11 network and cross sections
• Geological layers and lenses
• Pumping wells
• Observation station data

After the model results were compared with the observation data and the model conceptualization further improved, the hydraulic conductivities were adjusted to better match the observation data by using a proprietary tool (Adjust dfs2 file).
