LAGO provided an 80-hour training course online in the modeling software EPA SWMM. The course participants were technical staff from different government agencies in El Salvador conducting design, permit review, research, and other related jobs. The objective of the course was to learn more about how to model secondary urban drainage systems with focus on designing Low Impact Developments (LIDs).
Lago divided the course in four parts:
Course participants received advanced training in the use of the EPA SWMM to model secondary urban drainage systems with focus on designing Low Impact Developments (LIDs). After the course, it is expected that they are more trained to build their own models and to understand models developed by others.
