Naples Park Infrastructure Improvements-
ICPR Modeling Support
Client: Collier County (sub-consultant to Grady Minor) Year: 2017 - 2018 About: The Collier County Stormwater Department is improving the stormwater management systems in the Naples Park community. The objective was to develop an ICPR model representing the existing storm water drainage system in this area and apply the model to support design of improved stormwater management facilities able to convey flows produced by a 10- and 25-year return period design storms. |
Specifics:
LAGO developed a detailed ICPR model for the area that consisted of 362 nodes and 1076 links. The existing condition model was then modified to consider ongoing improvement projects. The pre- and post-project model results were compared to estimate the benefit of these projects on design storm flows, peak stage, and flood inundation. An analysis of the level of service on roads and on the water quality was also conducted. Finally, the post-project ICPR model was further modified to evaluate the effect of using bigger pipe sizes as specified in the ordinance. |
