Stormwater Tiered Rate Plan Project
Client: City of St. Petersburg (sub-consultant to Stantec)
The City of St. Petersburg's Budget, Finance and Taxation Committee recommended development and implementation of a Tiered Stormwater Utility Rate by October 1, 2018. Preliminary rate recommendations must be completed no later than June 2018.This project focused on methods to calculate the impervious area for residential and commercial properties throughout the City using GIS-based processing and analysis tools.
LAGO worked in conjunction with the GIS staff at Stantec to devise the methods used to generate the impervious surface layer for the County. The methodology utilized available data consisting of planimetric lines, parcel boundaries, and building footprints. Aerial images were used to verify results and pervious areas were removed from the database.
The new impervious layer that includes buildings, parking lots, driveways, and private roads are currently being developed and processed for delivery to the client for review and comment.
