Modify Cross Sections

Purpose
    This tool allows the user to modify existing irregular x-sections by using minimum trapezoidal shape specifications to recalculate the X and Z values for a x-section. This is typically used when a canal is excavated.

 ​Usage
The user must enter the original irregular x-section values as well as specify the trapezoidal geometry (i.e., bottom Z, bottom width, side slope H:V and X offset values). The user then can recalculate the new modified cross section X and Z values as well as look at the profile plot. The X offset value can be adjusted as desired. The modified profile values can be copied from the table.
The free version only allows a maximum of 10 points in the irregular profile.

Example of use
The screens shown below illustrate the use of the tool. 

​Registration
    In order to have full functionality of this tool, the user needs to complete the registration by following these steps:

​Go to the right-top corner in this tool, click on the “About” button, and copy the Mac address shown there.

In the tool’s webpage, use the box above the "Add to Cart" button to enter the Mac address. Then, click on the "Add to Cart" button right below to enter your payment information.

​After these steps, the authorization code will be sent to the email that you provided during the PayPal payment process.
