MIKE11 Structures to Shape FilePurpose
This tool reads a MIKE11 network (nwk11) file and creates a point shape file with the most commonly used hydraulic structures (i.e. weirs, culverts, bridges, pumps, and control structures). Usage The user must browse for the desired nwk11 file. By default, the tool creates a single shape file contains 7 fields, which are branch name, chainage in meters, label, topo ID, number, type1, and type2. Optionally, the tool would create individual shape files for broad crested weirs, culverts, pumps, bridges, and control structures that contain more detailed information. The free version allows the user to include only one structure of each type in the shape file. Pre-requisites There is no need to have MIKE ZERO installed. The tool has been tested successfully with network files created from the 2011 through the 2016 releases. Example of use The screens shown below shows the processing of a complex network file.
